Poggitazzi is found in the center of an antique Tuscan farm, a building that was built in 1911 and was named "La Fabbrica" (The Factory). It got its first name from its previous use as a farm for cultivating and refining tobacco, linen, and silk.

La Fabbrica was restored and subdivided into apartments, without compromising the original structure, only updated with modern comforts and services.
