Probably the northwest portion of the factory, the most
recent of all the components, was reconstructed in the beginning
of the 1700's according to the typology of Tuscan villas
of that era, based on the architectural style however, present
and recorded between 1500 and 1600.
Other extensions and embellishments like the wooden ceilings
and frescoes were added in the second half of the 18th century
when the Poggitazzi property used a dowry for Melania Libri
Graziani in her marriage to Giovanni Magherini. Inthis period
it was reorganized and deemed an agricultural activity, especially
for wine and oil.
The tradtional production of cold pressed oil and DOCG wine
is still maintained today. The antique villa-factorywas restored
with maximum respect to the architecttonic forms and plurisecular
landsacpe so rich in art, natural beauty and immense culture.
These are the characteristics that will be appreciated by
visitors and guests. It is also very easy to visit the near
by cities of art like Florence, Siena, and Arezzo or having
all of the Valdarno at one's diposition to see old
style craftsmen at work or the new shops dedicated to the
fashion of today.
